Apromore has grown over time to provide a wealth of business process management features, including:

  • OSGi plugin framework (support for dynamic enabling/disabling of bundles and multiple bundle versions)
  • three types of OSGi plugins: Portal, Logic and Editor
  • support for the following native process model formats: BPMN 2.0, XPDL 2.1, EPML 2.0, ARIS AML import, YAWL 2.2 and PNML 1.3.2
  • language interchange between all supported formats
  • support for the following event log formats: XES, MXML
  • integration with Signavio Core Components process model editor
  • integration with jBPT as the Java object model for the canonical process format
  • relational schema for the canonical process format
  • SVN-like version control for process models (including branch and version name)
  • support for behavior-based process models querying using PQL (Process Query Language)
  • approximate clone detection, clustering of approximate clones and visualization
  • support for a variety of structural complexity metrics (both at the canonical format level and at the BPMN level)
  • detection of sudden and gradual drifts from streams of traces or streams of events
  • mining of BPMN models from event logs (many baseline discovery algorithms supported)
  • a-posteriori structuring of mined models with iBPStruct
  • filtering of infrequent process behavior from event logs
  • behavioral comparison of model2model, model2log and log2log
  • similarity search
  • merging of similar process models
  • support for process configuration via Apromore’s canonical format, including import/export into C-BPMN  and C-EPCs
  • definition of questionnaire:model mapping files for configurable process models
  • configuration of C-BPMN models (both model-based and questionnaire-driven, via integration with Synergia)
  • color-highlighting of variants on top of C-BPMN models
  • restructuring of BPMN models with iBPStruct (maximally-structured models)
  • simulation of BPMN models with BIMP
  • simultaneous replay of multiple logs on top of a BPMN model
  • basic security and access control
  • print and PDF-export support for process models
  • file storage via WebDav (e.g. to store questionnaire models, configuration mappings)
  • Web service interface (WSDL) of most common features.
